Quiet and clean, well maintained. Nice porch sitting area. The family is warm and welcoming, made sure my stay was great.

A little further from Mahabodhi temple than other hotels, but still accessible by a 30 min walk or ride in a tuk-tuk which are abundant.

"our family wants to go back there"

- genuine hospitality - basic but clean accommodation. working shower, AC and fan. - their kids were so sweet and well-behaving. My son wanted to stay longer to play with them every night and day.

- location was a bit far from the sights but it’s manageable with tuk tuks.

I felt at home from the very first moment at Tara Guest House. The family is incredibly kind and welcoming, and they went above and beyond to organize all my trips both around town and further afield. They are very knowledgeable and always happy to help with anything. It also meant a lot to know that the funds from the guest house support a school for the local community. I would 100% recommend staying here.

The family is great, The rooms are clean, hot water and possible to get great food, not central, but quiet and peaceful and just lovely people
