Please note we have a limited number of dog friendly rooms available. To ensure a dog friendly room is available for your desired date, please call us before booking. Please note there is a £20.00 dog charge, per dog, per night. Hotel guests cannot be guaranteed a table for dinner at the hotel's restaurant, reservations are recommended. For Children up to the age of 12, we have Z-Beds available at £27.50 per child, per night. This tariff includes breakfast. Cots for infants are free of charge. "Night stay to go to Ripon races"

Stayed Wed 27th May Room 3 Attention to detail even a fan in the room (hot weather) Good food and wine in restaurant and really good choice at breakfast, lovely village and Ripley ice-cream next door All staff were friendly and efficient special mention to lady on reception when we arrived, two young girls at breakfast (very professional) and tall blond boy with glasses in restaurant Would like to stay again thank you to all

Lovely pub in a very quiet location with close proximity to Harrogate. Lovely old church and castle (less than 5 mins walking distance)with free entry to the castle grounds if you are staying at The Boars Head. Very spacious clean room with toiletries and tea making facilities. Bath robes available on request. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and would give 10/10. Staff, especially Charlotte, was very welcoming and made a point of chatting with us at dinner. Would definitely recommend visiting.

Beautiful historical building belong to the Ripley castle estate.Plenty if parking in their own car park.Rooms decorated in a fashion to suit the country house feel.Staff were very friendly and welcoming and prepared to go the extra mile if needed. Restaurant on site serving 5 star food. A quaint little village but convenient location with a good bus service into Harrogate,Leeds and Ripon saving the need to hunt for parking in the towns. I would have no hesitation booking here again,next time for longer than one night and take advantage of the buses to visit Harrogate and Ripon as well as the castle discounted entry and gardens into which is free for Hotel residents.

This is one of the rare occasions when I can find no fault however minor with the Hotel and surrounding area.
