"Great value countryside stay near Harrogate."

Lovely place to stay. Comfortable, well-appointed room. Food was typical pub food but very well executed. Breakfast was excellent. Parking was free which is a bonus these days. Beautiful setting next to Ripley Castle and very convenient for country walks. Within easy reach of Harrogate and much more peaceful. Overall really loved it, and at a very good price.

Das "Boar´s Head" war die beste unter 18 Unterkünften unserer England-Rundreise. Es ist Teil eines größeren Gutes mit eigenem Schloss. Der Empfang war exzeptionell freundlich, das Bett bequem, das Frühstück klar überdurchschnittlich und mein Lamm mit Feigensauce zum Dinner das Beste, was ich in den 23 Tagen England gegessen habe. Sogar ein eigener Parkplatz stand zur Verfügung.

Lovely location with clean and comfortable rooms.

Poor overall management and supervision. The hotel is let down by terrible service at breakfast and a failure to clear dirty tables in the hotel lounge.

It was beautiful, perfect for a weekend exploring the local areas and returning to this quaint village with the accommodation in the heart of it. Stunning, nothing missed, staff fabulous
