Booking was easy and the room was comfortable. They were fine about me travelling with a dog. The hotel is in nice old fashioned winding streets, the restaurant/pub is just downstairs, and the place is very near to Tatton Park which has free access for pedestrians, so there are all the walks you could want. Even with that closed after hours, there are nice enough green areas nearby and I found the residents friendly and keen to chat. Dog is welcome in the restaurant.

The rear access to the hotel that guests are encouraged to use is effectively round by the bins and not very salubrious. I found the dog supplement excessive at £20. The room was overheated but too noisy from traffic with the window open. Cold water took ages to run cold. There is no parking so you need to leave your car in a nearby carpark, although this is literally two minutes, and you can pay by Ringo so you can keep an eye on your time. However it does add very slightly to the stress wondering whether your car will be OK with all your travelling stuff in it (it was).

Check in was easy and staff were friendly. We were in one of the brand new rooms and it was lovely. The breakfast was great in the morning.

Maybe a dressing table / mirror in the room rather than just the bathroom mirror.

Room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Had booked the largest room only because it was the only one available but it was a real treat. Staff were extremely welcoming and accomodating. Easy to come and go as I pleased. No parking on site but reasonably priced long stay car park just a couple of minutes walk away with EV chargers. Located at the quiet end of the high street and just moments away from Tatton Park. Will very happily stay there again.

That I couldn't stay long and take advantage of all on offer.
