We enjoyed the tasty breakfast and the clean comfortable room.Our helpful friendly host made us feel welcome and at home.

The lock on the entrance gate is a bit finicky.

- best home made breakfast ever from our guest-mom (big choice of cakes, toasts, drinks, coffee, coockies, fruits etc.) - very good area to live, 10 minutes walk to the oldtown center, bus station just around the corner etc. - fresh and good smelling sheets as well as towels - very helpful hosts, lot of storage room for suitcases etc. - high (european-like) standard of bathroom and all other rooms - well working air-conditioning

Betty looked after us like your own mom would. she is so attentive and made us feel really at home. The location is great, in a quiet part of the town yet within walking distance to the old center. The breakfast is full of varieties too. We stayed more nights than planned as a result.

if your room is near the kitchen, you would wake up early as they start to prepare breakfast before 7am. But the room is quiet at night so if you go to bed early, 7am is not too bad.

The breakfast was good in a good location

- We came back to our room on the second and found someone else’s clothes in the room. The owner had given our room to someone else and moved all of our belongings from our nice room at the front, to an ant infested and damp room elsewhere in the property. There are no safes in the room so our valuables (hidden) were still in the original room and we had to enter the original room to recover these (thankfully they were still there but it is beside the point). She said she had booked out our room on booking.com by mistake. We explained had she had explained that mistake in the morning before we left for the day we would have moved our own belongings to a different room. - The lady kept knocking on our door to try and sell us trips. She was very hassling.

Betty’s hospitality is incredible. Her generosity and thoughtfulness makes you feel very welcomed. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious, and the location is peaceful with great walkability. Our stay felt like a home away from home, and has been one of our favorite experiences in Brazil.

The host Bete is lovely! She doesn't speak any English but is very good at using a translating app and helped us to arrange a fun jeep tour and connect with other local things to do. Her inn is very clean and tidy, the breakfast spread is a feast and the room we had was very comfortable and spacious. Her inn is just outside the main centre but a very easy walk everywhere and safe neighbourhood, neat to observe more local community.

The breakfast was good for being Brazil, (according to me a Swedish person). The owner is a nice and warm lady. For free she gave us popcorn and coffee at arrival. Maybe because she was so happy it was the second time we stayed there 😉.
