Dunlop Inn

Location location location. Very well appointed sun room with 2 slidding doors to look out at the beautiful waterfront view.

Ran out of food. 4 of us sat together around 8:30 and no egg left for 4th person. Small diced pieces of fruit for bowls was disappointing. Lovely conversation with British couple.

Sehr hübsches und gepflegtes Inn mit toller Lage und Blick aufs Wasser. Der Check-In läuft über das Motel "Telegraph". Die Dame dort war sehr freundlich und fragte, ob wir abends im Restaurant essen möchten. Haben wir gemacht und das Restaurant ist definitiv empfehlenswert :-)

Das "Frühstücksbufett" ist sehr sehr übersichtlich. Und vegetarisch...

They cancelled our booking on the day of our visit because of a double booking. I suspect someone wanted it for more nights than we did. They kindly offered to waive our cancellation fee which, as they were the ones who actually cancelled our booking, didn’t seem that generous of an offer. To be fair, they did offer us an alternative, albeit unsuitable, room at a completely different hotel.

We were extremely happy with the Inn with the exception of how tight the bathroom was.

View was outstanding! Comfort was exceptional. Facilities were lovely. Breakfast facilities were wonderful and offerings plentiful. Room was darling. View amazing. We were thrilled with the place.

The Inn overlooks the harbour and it so peaceful to sit outside and enjoy the views. The location is great with nearby restaurants, cafes and a bit of shopping. The staff were very kind and helpful. We only stayed for 2 nights in August, but could easily have stayed longer to enjoy the quiet ease of Baddeck. The bed was comfortable and bathroom, although separate from the bedroom, was well-appointed.

We would have preferred to have the bathroom en suite (especially when getting up in the middle of the night to use the toilet), but it was still private, with our own lock key so we could leave our stuff in there. Think of it like your own home that you need to leave your bedroom to go to the bathroom. Not a big deal.

The house is really lovely, clean and in a perfect location with a beautiful deck out the back looking out at the water! The lady who organised breakfast each morning was delightful!

We were just a little disappointed in our room which was on the ground floor. The bed was quite small. I had booked a deluxe queen room.

Bed was very comfy. Surprised to find the floors squeak-free in such an old house. Breakfast was fine, but no plates left for the late-comers. Property had a lovely living room and water access with a kayak available.

Washroom for our room was down the hall requiring walking through a common hallway with other rooms, each (except ours), having it's own washroom. No TV in bedroom. Also wasn't crazy about arriving after a full day of driving, only to find we had to go to another property a couple blocks down the street to collect the keys. Once there, however, check-in went smoothly.
