The Factor's Inn & Factor's Cottage

There was no staff in the property post evening. There was no refrigerator in the room. We wanted to refrigerate some leftover food and we tried calling the staff but no one was reachable or available. We had to call the main castle hotel for help but even they did not send anyone to the cottage. There was no lift in the property and no staff to help with the luggage.

Très grande chambre confortable, seul petit bémol, le bruit des voitures qui passent sur la route très proche , il faisait beau donc nous avons dormi les fenêtres ouvertes et on entendait beaucoup le passage des véhicules

Clean modern and very comfortable

We had to drive to Interlocky Castle Hotel to check in. Very polite staff but I was sat in a chair over 5 minutes whilst 5 star hotel clients kept asking questions of the staff member. He was apologetic for my wait. The room had an odour on entering. We kept windows open. I cant explain the smell but on the lines of musty. It didnt resolve for our two nights there. We accept we had dogs with us, however, the room had stained carpet and the window by kettle didn't open. It was nice they put dog bowls and spare beds in although we did not need them. I was aware of the room charge but feel £20 per pet per night was high as this added £80 to our bill for a room we felt was acceptable. Overall. It was fair. We have stayed all over scotland and although it is a great location and the two staff we met were very professional and friendly we wouldnt stay again. The downstairs hall and restaurant area looked exceptionally clean and welcoming. The grounds outside were very well kept and ample parking was available.

Very pleasant property. Nice to have the pub attached (though very expensive if eating there).

We stayed for two nights - it’s a self-catering to a certain extent, as in they don’t clean room during your stay but you are told that on booking and it is fine for two nights. The staff were mixed, the man the first night serving was very nice but the woman the second night was fairly rude and you knew she didn’t really want to be there.

Lovely big room, beautifully presented. Gorgeous bathroom. Close to town.
