The Lamb and Flag Inn

Location was great

Room 5 had no curtains on the door window so light poured in. Bathroom had no blind so there was now privacy when showering and the toilet didn't flush property.

Outside very noisy, people drinking being very boisterous near bedroom window till late, overall room was fine but need soundproof windows

The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. We were delayed in our arrival and they held a table for us in the restaurant and kept the kitchen open a bit longer, which was really amazing for us! The rooms were comfortable.

The pub downstairs was a little loud.

The Food at the Inn was delicious. However, you will not get a table if it's not pre-booked, so do it beforehand, but the staff were accommodating and allowed us to take away food into our room, which helped us after a long drive.

It could be a unique case, but our booking was showing as confirmed, and money was deducted from our account. However, after reaching the property, they said that they had not received the money, even after showing them the booking confirmation details. The staff said that's our problem, and we have to deal with Booking.com. Quite unhelpful, as we were sitting sorting this out for 30 mins. The Room 5 where we stayed literally feels like a road, you can't sleep as there is uninterrupted noise coming from outside, as this was not the last thing but adding to this, the room just above our roof was another rough experience where you will here a small sound even if someone will walk, and to our luck it was booked by a family where kids keep on jumping till late night. Not a very good experience to be frank.
