The Bridge Inn

A delightful local Inn, with a regular friendly clientele, including a very amiable dog! The staff were without exception brilliant, especially when I had an accident nd fell, cut my head badly. Dawn called an ambulance and stayed with me until it came. She len my Fringe her phone and looked after her while I was at the hospital overnight, and assured us that we could stay until my son came to collect us. She and Matt were calm and helpful all the time. The food was excellent, the portions generous, and they went out of their way to give us what we wanted. The bedroom was pleasant, with an excellent en-suite. Te village itself is delightful, the church very impressive, a Bookstore with honesty box, and a short distance away a Bike shop with a brilliant cafe - delicious soup and cakes. A wonderful place to chill out and explore Swaledale.

Not their fault, but a bit chilly away from the lovely fire in the bar. Snow and high winds made It an adventure just walking around the village!

Breakfast was fine

The room was very cold, reported it on arrival. Then again second day - the owner then brought us a portable heater and ext cable. We got a little refund

Oldly worldy little pub

Lovely pub and rooms, excellent breakfast and friendly staff.

There wasn’t anything to dislike. Be aware though that there if you bring a dog with you there is an extra £15 charge (this wasn’t shared when booking via booking.com)

The pub was very friendly. Dinner was pleasant, breakfast excellent. The location is delightful. It was exceptionally dog friendly!

My mattress was a bit on the hard side, though I do like a soft surface, and had an emergency topper with me, so it wasn't a problem.
