Manorbier Castle Inn Sunset Room

The Manobier Castle Inn, was an amazing place to stay for New Year. Two young bar staff to the chef in the kitchen could not have been more helpful. The accommodation was comfortable and clean, and the pub food was delicious and plentiful. Would highly recommend.

There were no breakfast facilities on site The coffee cups in the room were minute The futon bed was too low for us The toilet and shower room were down four steps and up another four steps and then across a landing which is a long way to go if you need the toilet a couple of times in the night The information on the site did not explain the shared toilet facilities clearly enough because we wouldn’t have booked without en suite.

Lovey bedroom. Shared bathroom. The pub itself was lovely and cosy. Great atmosphere with lovely music playing.

Very old mustiness furniture- bed ok. Carpets not clean for ages- bathroom refurbished but shower not functional as water boiling hot or coring to place cosmetic or hand towel. after 23.00 still music in a pub with bass music in a room. Will not recommend and will not come back - pictures 100% great - reality different

Room was cosy and had access to a Kitchen area with a big fridge. The food in the pub was fantastic! The portion sizes were also very good!

We stayed on a Saturday and Sunday evening. Saturday there was loud music played until past midnight and on the Sunday there was a Pub Quiz which went on until late.

If Frodo and Sam ever went on a road trip through Wales (Brie), this is where they’d spend the night. Manorbier Castle Inn oozes character – nestled above a cosy, lively pub with low beams, creaky floors, and an atmosphere straight out of a fantasy novel. The food was fantastic – rich, comforting, and clearly made with care. The pub itself was full of friendly locals and travellers alike, making it a truly memorable stop on our journey...

... But just like in any good tale, not everything was peaceful: the live music night beneath our room took us by surprise, and with minimal sound insulation, we got front-row seats whether we wanted them or not. Sleep was, let’s say, optional. Still, the magic of the place is real – and we appreciated the warm staff and the goodwill shown with a refund for our second night. If you’re visiting, bring a sense of humour, some earplugs, and a taste for adventure. You won’t forget it.

The food was amazing. The quiz was great fun and the atmosphere in the bar was great.

The bed was more or less on the floor and the mattress springs were a bit creaky. The tv only works via the internet. We also didn't realise it was a shared bathroom. Without a proper lock.

Nice comfortable chalet style apartment, decent shower, clean and comfortable bed.

Lack of WiFi, so TV didn't work or phones. But in the morning when leaving was told it was a problem for the whole area so not entirely the propertys fault.

The room was an upgrade arranged by the host which turned out to be a more than pleasant surprise. The pub, the atmosphere and its staff was great! we will definitely be going back for another stay.
