Jo and Chris were excellent hosts. The were most welcoming and were happy to provide advice on best walking routes and local places to visit. We would stay at the Ramblers again based on this excellent service.

A wonderful quiet, peaceful hotel in an idyllic location. No traffic noise because no through road.

"Lovely village pub with rooms."

Nice welcome on arrival, checked in early with no trouble. Good pub food and excellent breakfast options. The location is brilliant for the train station and walking Mam Tor. There is another pub and cafe at the other end of the village, easy to walk to. We would stay here again.

It was expensive for the size of the room which was cozy but small.

"Weekend In Edale"

Comfy and cosy. Perfect for cold rainy hiking around Edale, the perfect homely base. Food was also great, beers were cheap and the staff were amazing. Breakfast also included made this great value!

A really warm welcome by staff and a spacious bedroom with comfortable beds and good shower. The evening meal was homemade and delicious with generous portion sizes. Breakfast was equally excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful, from showing us to our room to giving us recommendations on a short walk at the start of the Pennine Way. The location is on the edge of a pretty village and the scenery is stunning and dramatic, highly recommend to anyone visiting and a quick mention that they genuinely welcome dogs.

Great location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms

Food in the evening and morning was very average/poor. Breakfast in particular felt like the food had been cooked the day before- the driest scrambled egg this side of the Atacama Desert
