Good room. Comfortable bed. Nice host

Not much power in the shower. A bit too far from town to walk though Kamara would take you to town for a fee. Not always available to collect in the evening.

The owners are so kind and nice, they helped us a lot with everything. I adore their small kid, he's so sweet and funny. The room is clean and quite big and there's also a terrace where you can have breakfast in the morning with a stunning view. Price is fair and cheap considering the average cost of accommodations in Ella. The location is a bit out of the center but there's a bus that costs 30 rupees, you can also rent a scooter or hire a tuk tuk.

I think they turn off the wifi in the evening, and this is bad if you work remotely like me, cause there's no connection so you can't even use your data. Even if you ask them to turn it on, they won't do it until the next morning. Also, in our room, there was almost no light, and you could barely see anything, but it's not a big issue.

If you want to live like a local and learn about Sri Lankan way of life, this place is for you. The family are so kind and the hospitality is genuinely amazing. They made us the most delicious food everyday and we felt like part of the family, even though they don’t speak any English. The room had a very local feel but had a comfy bed and net to protect you from the insects. Just note that WiFi and data doesn’t work well here because of the mountain ranges, but there are plenty of cafes in Ella town. We hope we can come back and visit one day 😊

The water is boiling hot or freezing cold, a middle would be nice but not a huge issue for the price ☺️

The owner is so friendly and the whole family is awesome and it's a beautiful family vibe. The view is amazing u have a big balcony! U will have such a great nature view and the breakfast is also very nice and homemade :) We would definitely come again! :)

The room is clean, funky & pretty. Great value for money. Ella is a 10 minute bus ride away from just outside the door. (30 - 50 rupees). Beautiful view from the private patio. Excellent breakfast!! The very best thing about this guesthouse though are the hosts! Avasini is a really lovely man, and has a beautiful family. His English is limited, but he goes out of his way to make sure that you have everything you need and is always bringing gifts of fruit, tea, and homemade snacks. He really wanted to show us the best of the area around and happily walked the three kilometres down to the waterfall with me, and even paid the bus fare back up the hill! We stayed three nights & will never forget our stay there. I have no hesitation in awarding the property a big 10!

It's next to the road so bring earplugs for sleeping!!

Our stay at Ella River Face Inn was perfect. The location was good for us who likes to wake up with a beautiful view and calm surroundings. It’s close to Ella city, you can easily take the bus or the tuk tuk. When you go home from the city it’s easy to walk because you walk downhill. The host is very friendly and helpful. We hiked Ella rock from Ella River face Inn and it took us around 2 hours to get there. I strongly recommend to get your breakfast there. We got to try many different Sri Lanka dishes that we haven’t had at any other place. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Although the hosts didn't speak much English we managed to communicate just fine and they were super friendly. Offering us tea and coffee whenever we wanted. It's a basic hotel and whilst the road is quite close and noisy during the day at night it quietens down and didn't bother us at all

the behaviour of the owner is awesome also the view from the valcony is fantastic
