Just a bit much traffic noise

The location is the highlight of the place! It’s on the street behind the main road. It’s close to everything you want in Ella. The local staff was the kindest!! We had some problems with the cleaning situation and the manager (the old man that apparently runs the place and is responsible for all the work) was the most proactive and gentle one! He helped us with the directions to go to the 9 arch bridge and little Adam’s peak (both in a walking distance). Definitely, he is the soul of that place and the responsible for making us stay a second night. Big shout out to him!

However, the cleaning situation is a struggle. We woke up to some cockroaches in the room and bathroom. The bathroom doesn’t have a glass on the window opening (which causes insects to freely come inside). The room has no air circulation, having such a strong mold smell. The humidity in the room and bathroom is high and causes discomfort. When we arrived, they had given us a different room of which we booked. The old man took us up hill to the actual reserved room, but we decided to stay in the main property because the way up isn’t finished/comfortable to go up with heavy backpacks. Definitely, I wouldn’t recommend that place unless you have no other option and are staying for only one night.

Room smelled like mould. Bedroom was dirty. Bathroom was filthy with the previous guests contact lenses on the wall. And a bad smell, it was not clean in any way. The towel was still wet and also dirty. I was itching in the bed all night. No mosquito nets. There was a dead caterpillar on the bed which had been there for a while.

Très bien localisé, proche du centre mais assez loin du bruit et au cœur de différentes arbres et arbustes fruitiers, chambre éloignée de la rue avec une terrasse privée. Propriétaire très gentil
