Elsdon is a very pretty village and the pub is warm and welcoming. My room was comfortable and well-equipped. The food in the evening was good but breakfast doesn’t start till 8.30am which is a bit late if you are walking a long way at this time of year. However, they left milk out for me and I was able to have some cereal before I left.

Late breakfast was a bit of a disappointment especially as the info in the room suggested an 8am start for breakfast.

Friendly staff. Good service.

The shower area really needs refurbishment. Some black mould around the shower tray. Cobwebs on the wall near the ceiling. Just really needs a good clean.

Great location, really friendly staff and great food in the restaurant
