The Raven Inn

It was a lovely place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. A very nice pub with very nice beer. A perfect stop for those doing Offa's Dyke...although a couple of miles from the path.

Just be aware they do not serve food Monday to Wednesday. Breakfast (for me) was 4 croissants and some butter and jam, which was nice, but I don't think it is advertised as a B&B....so I wasn't expecting anything.

Room was clean and had coffee/ fridge/ basic complimentary breakfast as pub only open evenings. Nice atmosphere as well attended by locals as a community run pub. Food offer over weekends which was nicely presented.

Very difficult to get in and out of village due to roadworks effectively cutting it off. Strange dinner arrangement if you go at beginning of week..ie there isn't any and you have to get a takeaway delivered to pub unless you want to drive. Nothing else in village.

Very comfortable bed

No televisions would work in any of the bedrooms.

Fantastic atmosphere. Sensational food - best meal in over 3 weeks in the UK.

Self catering facilities were good all we needed. The room was bright and airy. Friendly community pub great to support a local enterprise.

The bed was far too soft for us.
