Location, location, location. We wanted accommodation close to the Orkneys ferry. This was exactly what we wanted, expected and were grateful for.

We were happy with all the provisions and the evening meal very good and reasonably priced.

We were catching an early ferry the following morning, so it was perfect for that. Comfortable and clean room with a surprise dram of whiskey awaiting us. Restaurant right next door with good food. Parking available too.

Staff were excellent - friendly and accommodating. The food at the restaurant was lovely and it was nice to be able to look out into the harbour. There are some not bad walks on the cliffs and it is handy for the local area. Perfect if you are getting the ferry to Stromness.

This isn’t so much a “didn’t like”. Our room was very clean and everything we wanted was there but it does need a bit of freshening up re decor. This did not affect our stay in anyway.
