Location was amazing and the nice warm fires. The staff were very efficient and friendly

A continental breakfast (croissants, Youghurt, some granola, coffee and tea) was included, while anything else was to pay extra, I found the hotel rate quite elevated in comparison to other places around and we had to pay again 13-18 £ / person for some substantial breakfast. No bread also at the breakfast table. Our room was above the kitchen so we heard the ventilation all afternoon / evening (nothing at night), it was very noisy and the view was to the roof..

Pleasantly surprised to find out that a good continental breakfast was included in the room rate.

You just have to be aware that there are several short flights of stairs/steps, and you may have to go outside to get to your room. Not a problem for me at all.

Meals were on the pricey side but lovely

This is a lovely little pub restaurant and the staff are very attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious and the owner managed to book us in last minute. The room was of a good size, clean and full of character.

As it’s a listed building, there’s no sound proofing, meaning that until the pub had closed, it was a little on the noisier side however this didn’t disturb us to much.

Warm welcome and a lovely cosy atmosphere. Good choice of beers in the bar and a lovely evening meal. Room was full of character, very creaky floor! Temperature in the room and bathroom was rather high, so we opened windows! Lovely situation by the river, so I imagine it would be much busier in the summer.
