Oasis Lake Buchanan

Nothing really - very basic. In fairness we expected that but the reason we booked was the lakeside location - however the lake has dried up. While I appreciate nothing can be done about those conditions this is not a recent event so pictures showing the lake full etc are misleading.

As above - completing this because I think it important that Booking.com know about the misleading characterisation of the property as lakeside.

The cabin was very clean and neat. The place was very quiet with view over the lake. There is no direct access to water but you can go walking for about 10 minutes. Overall, we liked the place and would recommend it.

We had a great stay at the Oasis after a day of hiking in Colorado Bend State Park. The rooms were clean with all the basic necessities, a kitchenette, and back patio for an easy, stress-free getaway. Additionally, we were blown away with the extra mile the Oasis took for families. They had free sand and water toys, balls, bats, footballs, frisbees and an awesome playground. We went during an unprecedented Texas drought, so while the resort was not lake-front when we went ( it was a quick walk from the resort), the owners added sprinklers and a slip and slide to the play area providing endless hours of fun and escape from the heat. We will definitely be back for another family getaway soon.

It was a relaxing place. Perfect after a busy week. The owner was helpful with a few small concerns that we had.

I didn't receive a breakfast

The mattress needs to be replaced and the pillows were like rocks. We had a family of 3, but there were only 2 washcloths.
