The carpets in the flat were revolting, definitely in need of a repaint and new flooring. The flat was for 4 people, but only 3 cups, 3 spoons, 3 forks etc

Booked a three night stay at this Pub, location was ideal for our needs. We knew that breakfast was not included, and also that the Pub did not have any dining facilities but this did not unduly worry us. Our room was fairly large and comfortable, and for the price paid what we received was very fair. Bar prices reasonable, very quiet location in a quiet little village.

No room service, but this is not unusual these days, standard of cleanliness was disappointing in some areas. Anyone contemplating staying here be aware that the village is very residential and very short on eating establishments (there is one other pub that does food but it would be best to book a table beforehand) This is not a complaint about, and obviously nothing to do with, the Anchor Inn. There are pubs and restaurants in the area which necessitates travelling, which, entirely from a personal viewpoint my wife and I would have preferred not to do.
