Rooms were clean. Large towels Had tea and coffee And a hair dryer Shower was warm Parking Opposite shops

Bed was uncomfortable and against the wall as the rooms are small The walls are very thin so can hear people next door snoring. The trains didn’t bother us though

Was really only for one night as just passing thru but done job well

Great service and enjoyed our privacy

Friendly little pub near to Cannock Chase where we were horse riding early the next day. Staff were friendly and helpful and the pizza we had was properly home made. Apart from the trains which I found surprisingly soothing ( it’s right next to the track) it was very quiet at night and I slept well.

If you don’t find trains soothing you might be kept awake by them. The room was very small and there was no bedside light so had to get out and turn main light off. The control for the radiator is behind one of the beds so pulled it away from the wall - fine for us but others could have struggled and it’s all a bit grey. Dark grey furniture and floor.A bit of a petty comment I suppose but a touch of colour in the room would give a more welcoming impression. I wouldn’t want to be in there for more than one or two nights and mainly because of the grey. Perhaps colourful towels or duvets would give an easy lift to the place. As I say it may sound petty and the main thing was I slept well in a perfectly comfortable and clean room.

Location ok bar meals to good standard and a chance to have a drink !

Room prep came up short, TV was not working as previous customers had altered the settings, kettle directly below fire alarm so when heating water would set off the alarm off!! I did just that. Controls on shower unable to move and shy on stock re bedroom drinks tray missing milk ,sugar and spoons. Being a pub parties do take place but having the disc jockey directly below the bedrooms does mean retiring early to bed would not be possible! During my stay their was a party.

The Bed was comfortable

Size of the room, walls are paper thin, room wasn't cleaned or bin changed in 7 days!!! Shower was tiny and had low water power. £490 for 7 days for this really poor standard is very overpriced. Its worth £40 per night at the very most.
