Location was excellent. The food was good and good value. Room was comfortable and we slept very well.

A great country pub and experience.

Lovely old world proper pub location is stunning unfortunately it floods so we had to drive through a very scary flood lovely dog friendly lovely staff stunning location

Apart from the lane floods the property is old and our room was very noisy situated above a very busy kitchen as it’s a very popular place However it does stop when restaurant is closed We did wonder why earplugs were with the tea coffee facilities. Perfect 🤩.

We felt very welcome. Our room was really nice and the breakfast was amazing. Staff were very friendly

Building and breakfast staff. Breakfast and evening meal were good.

The bar closed at 8.30pm each night. The barman wanted everyone out. The heating stayed on all night our second night. It was vey hot and we had the window wide open all night and we were still too hot.

Food excellent,full of16th century charm. Friendly staff. Visit in January for work, weather was foul but room was warm.

Being woken up by the fire alarm at 2am on the third night of my stay and finding out I was alone on the premises. I had to phone the fire brigade myself and had no contact number for the owner. The fire brigade eventually found a local key holder to let us into the bar area to turn off the alarm and check the place over, thankfully there was no fire.

Breakfast is superb, staff wonderful. Room was super.

The room we stayed in was above the kitchen which we found to be very noisy, early morning and late into the evening.
