"Lovely hotel with great food"

Great pub, comfortable garden room. Great food

WiFI wasn’t great but it’s not that type of place. WiFi in the bar area was fine, just the room.

"It was okay"

Nice location

The bed was really uncomfortable soft mattress and as the floor slopes due to the age of the building your feet were higher than your head. No toast as standard with cooked breakfast . Parking is difficult when the restaurant is busy.

"A perfect night away for something a little bit more special."

Beautiful relaxing peaceful setting. Our accommodation was lovely (Birtley) with all amenities and nice little extra touches. Handmade flapjacks, fresh milk and water chilled in the fridge. Staff very helpful and friendly. We had dinner and breakfast - both delicious. Would I visit again ? Yes Would I recommend? Yes.

"Charming property providing excellent accommodation and food"

A lovely property with plenty of character yet high, modern standards of decor. Very clean. Very well-appointed rooms. Very comfy bed. Plenty of hot water. Plenty of electric sockets. Wi-fi very good. Staff helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast. Excellent restaurant for dinner - it's not the cheapest, but the quality of the food is outstanding. If you can afford it, stay here some time. Highly recommended.

"Exceptional"

We stayed in one of the cabins which was better than some top hotels that I have stayed in. The dinner and breakfast were exceptional and the staff all very helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

"Excellent"

Pleasant country Inn with very good food choices. Staff friendly and very helpful. Comfortable bed with minimal outside noise despite being right by the road.

Internet was a bit flaky in bedroom, which coupled with poor cellphone reception. However ,wifi was OK in bar/dining room.

"A relaxing stay in a beautiful part of the country."

Beautiful riverside setting. We stayed in one of the wooden cabins, separate from the main building. It was so peaceful and very clean. Loved the shower. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to walk on wooden flooring. The evening meal and breakfast were outstanding. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
