The food was amazing

The room clean but basic, the beds were too soft, we felt like we were going to fall off in the night.

We stayed whilst travelling through with our bikes, and the staff, room and food were great. The bonus was that we could keep the bikes in our very large room.

There were a lot of dogs in the pub whilst we were eating, they were a bit reactive with each other a couple of times. if you love dogs then it would be even better

The food in the pub was fine

We were put into a room that is set up for people in wheelchairs, therefore the wash basin was very low down, fine for who it’s intended for but not for anybody else, however more importantly the water was barely warm. Even though it was May the room was cold and we didn’t have control of the radiator, and no extra blanket if it’s required, so overall not impressed.

The location in Ellesmere was convenient for our plans.

The room did not match the photos or description. The bathroom door didn’t close or lock, and the bathroom had a full‑height window with no blind directly opposite the small basic shower enclosure, so there was no privacy. The room also had a strong musty smell and sticky carpets. The listing needs to accurately show the rooms and clearly state that the bathrooms do not have closing or lockable doors as the Host advised no bathrooms have locking doors. Basic privacy features like a working bathroom door and a blind on the window are essential. The situation would also have been easier to resolve if concerns were handled privately and professionally.
