"Cozy escape from the city!"

Amazing restaurant/pub, incredibly gracious and helpful guests who treat you like family, quiet and comfortable rooms. We will be getting married in the area next year and will be recommending to our friends/family if they don't want to stay in busy Edinburgh.

"Great place for a quick stopover. A pleadany change from the usual chain hotels."

Comfortable, clean room and friendly, relaxed staff creating a pleasant atmosphere. Varied menu in bar/restaurant which was clearly freshly preoared.

A little difficult to find in the dark and heavy rain. But that was soon resolved.

"Work stay"

Lovely room, top floor, very quiet after kitchen closed, very warm. Bed huge. Very clean Staff very helpful & friendly Really quaint unusual building, really warm welcoming bar that serves food. Quite liked been out of the city

Bed wasn't most comfortable, but I am very fussy with beds. TV is quite dated & probably needs upgraded, but I could watch it.
