Great location for my visit. Lovely little village pub with good pub food menu…and lovely cooked breakfast. Bed was really comfortable too. Had a great nights sleep.

A choice of yoghurt/ fruit at breakfast would be nice as well….though the cooked breakfast was lovely.. Some areas of the shower room were a little bit tired…tile grouting, loo roll stand.

Staff great and pictureque old building. Ribeye steak decent.

Bed not comfortable, old, saggy mattresses and sloping floor. Bathwater lukewarm at best

The location in a beautiful village, meeting friendly locals. Visiting the castle, walking around the old church and cemetary., parking on site. Meal at pub very good too.

Breakfast was good.

The shower was poor. It was just an attachment to the taps so unless you sat/kneeled in the bath you can't use it. The carpet in the room was very dirty near the door. It has been the worse room we've stayed in on our travels.

Location, food was ok, bed was comfy. Room clean. Crayfish and mushroom starters were good. Biggest pot of tea on our travels anywhere. Parking was easy - wont be in summer I suspect Village "green" had easter display - good to see.

Nothing major just "tips". We have been to area / pub before. Shower no curtain and couldnt stand up in the bath due to sloping roof and Im only 5'5 (i know its an old property) Toilet seat wont stay up needs adjusting - room at end of corridor.. No menu at breakfast but could at least have laminated (easy clean) notice to say so then no waste when ordering full english as could delete what is maximum offering. Was simply told "no menu its a full english".

Bathroom very poor. Shower was over bath with no room to stand because of roof shape so had to shower on knees in bath (we were two 6foot guys). Toilet lid wouldnt stay up when open so rested on your back when sat on toilet Very dated, needs a refresh Walls paper thin so could hear adjacent rooms and kitchen below very easily
