Boot & Shoe Inn

Nice little pub in a village with a castle which is well worth a visit to. On arrival the staff made us feel very welcome indeed and were lovely. Bedrooms are a little tired and dated, and we had a toilet seat that didn't fit the actual toilet which was very bizarre. Towels were big and lovely and the shower was perfect. Only one bedside table which was a bit annoying. Food served in the eve was fab and really big portions! Breakfast was fine but mine and my partner's eggs were burnt to crisp so that was disappointing. Car park very small. Overall a nice overnight stay

Quirky old building, good old fashioned pub. Excellent food. Lovely staff, very helpful and caring. Lovely beer garden area.

The decor is a bit tired, but fits with the age and style of the building - don't be put off when you step in. Great bar and food.

Mike was geweldig. Hij vloog door de kamer om maar zo goed mogelijke service te kunnen bieden. Het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid en aan te passen naar believen. De ambiance was erg goed en behouden als een Inn uit de zes- of zeventiende eeuw. Zondags live muziek waar vind je dat nog? Geweldig

As a single female traveller I felt comfortable there. The staff were brilliant and friendly, the guy serving breakfast was great, very attentive and the full English was fantastic. Room was clean and the bed huge, had a great stay. The pub has a lovely atmosphere and I'd definitely stay again.

The room had a sloping ceiling above the bath/shower so had to kneel in thr bath to hose down. I tried to run bath instead but couldn't change the setting from shower to bath but maybe that was just me not doing it right. It wasn't a huge problem. Breakfast room being swarmed by flies.
