Edison's Inn

We stayed in the Music Room which looks out on the park near the river and is very quiet. Free parking is available about 150m away and check-in was easy-peasy. The location is great - all the theatres in Stratford are within walking distance. Check out the Relic Lobby Bar for cocktails and then the Bluebird for dinner.

There's a mini-frig and microwave in the room (that's good) but no cutlery or plates so you need to improvise. Also, the coffee maker is a Keurig and only two K-cups were provided so two cups of coffee is the limit.

The room was beautifully decorated, very welcoming and bright. It was very central, close to both theatre and great restaurants

There were no negatives

The location was perfect, the room was a reasonable size, bathroom was clean and fresh and, we absolutely loved that we could open the window.

I wouldn’t recommend this property for anyone with mobility issues. There are quite a few steep stairs. The stairs were fine for us and we will book in the future.

Central,very clean, comfortable bed., communications with host were excellent.

Nothing

A beautiful room with a large window overlooking the Avon River. Two couches and a coffee table in front of the window. Very centrally located. Easy keypad entry. You can walk to all the theatres and restaurants in town. We took some long beautiful walks along the river on nice walking paths that go on both sides of the river. Comfortable bed. Amazing sourdough bakery just down the street from the entrance to the Inn. Enjoyed some really good pastries from there. Brought them back to our room and they made a great breakfast with a cup of coffee from the coffee maker in the room.

The room and amenities as well as location

TV didn’t get regular TV channels

I loved the eclectic style and design of the room, the spaciousness and the proximity to restaurants. Truly a unique experience.

Parking. Difficult to find and our designated spot was taken by another vehicle. We had to park in the police lot hoping not to get a ticket or tow.

The room was bright and gave a friendly impression. The bathroom was nice and bright as well. TV worked excellent. The WiFi was great as well. Even some books were on a shelf including some concerning Edison. There was also a coffee machine in the room. The location is excellent. The theatres can be reached by foot within 5 to 10 minutes. Restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner are close. A free Parking space is provided for each of the 3 rooms of Edison Inn.

We had a bit trouble finding Edison Inn and getting to our room as a code was required. Information was sent by e-mail. As I had not checked it before departure and as we do not have data we had to phone. A nice lady provided all necessary information. Just a reminder: We did not see an elevator. For guests who have trouble with stairs, it would not be so good.
