Pendle Inn

The staff were friendly and accommodating. Wonderful location with beautiful rooms including a small kitchen with fridge, microwave, sink, plates, cups, etc. Free reserved parking spaces for guests.

Some housekeeping issues, such as black mould in the bathroom and some of the bins hadn't been emptied from the last guests.

The bed linen was clean and the bed was comfortable but that's about it for positives.

·On arrival I was asked to pay the balance but I'd already paid online in advance. Their system wasn't working so I showed them my receipt and bank statement. Housekeeping left a lot to be desired. The carpet clearly hadn't been vacuumed, and the laminate floor needed a good mop. There were bits of mud and dirt on rug, stairs, and in the bedroom, all clear to see as we walked in. The whole place was grotty and in need of a decent clean. The upstairs pedal bin hadn't even been emptied from the previous guest. I didn't like to complain as we were only there one night, in hindsight, I should have as you would expect basic cleanliness. However, we did need to complain about the heating. The radiators weren't on so we went to ask in the pub, only to be told they were on a timer and would come on at 4pm, they didn't! In passing we mentioned it to the next door neighbour, they seemed to have something to do with the business and said "have you not been given an oul heater?" They got us a small plug in oil heater from their property but this simply wasn't adequate for such a large space. We spent the night freezing and couldn't wait to get out of there the following morning. Never again!!! It's such a shame because over the years we've visited the Pendle Inn numerous times but never stayed in their accommodation - we won't be doing again. I think the pub itself has also gone down hill and seemed grotty.

Rooms clean, bed comfortable. Staff helpful and friendly. Food in the pub fantastic. Definitely stay here again.

Would be nice if they did breakfast but not an issue as there are alternatives

It is a beautiful pub in a beautiful place. Rooms are great with all you need. The food is good and a good price.

Location perfect, right in the heart of Pendle. Fab walking routes. Lively pub with great atmosphere, staff very attentive, excellent all round. The little cottage at the back of the pub was amazing. Perfect for what we needed.
