Pendle Inn

Location was great. Nice food and drinks. Good parking and friendly staff.

The cottage/annex was freezing with no central heating. Only one small electric heater that made no difference really. No blankets available and also no additional bedding for the sofa bed downstairs. We noticed a strong dog smell on arrival, the sofa and floor nearby were covered in dog hair. No hot water from the tap in the kitchen. Only one tea bag and not enough milk provided. Bulbs hanging from the ceiling/not working. Very disappointing as we have stayed before and were very happy.

Accommodation poorly maintained, not clean. Heating and hot water not working on arrival. Extremely limited utensils. Bar area tired/rundown. Towels/sheets had been thrown in a heap on the floor of a dirty storage cupboard ... totally unacceptable housekeeping. Very poor experience. Will not return.

I didn't even get to stay because when I arrived to check in, the property was closed and there was nobody there, they didn't answer the phone and have refused to respond to me via booking.com. they never called me back after I left voicemails either. Terrible.

That I messaged the property multiple times saying when if be arriving and I never got a response and now they're ignoring me and booking.com customer service and won't refund my money. I drove 4 hours only to find the property closed and nobody there and I've not heard from them at all still. I am out of pocket from what I paid for this stay and also the extra £40 I had to spend on getting a Travelodge because I wasn't able to check in here

Sadly very disappointed! The accommodation was very over priced and out dated, could do with a face lift. During our stay there was no heating or hot water. When we raised this concern with staff, we was informed that their boss doesn't allow the heating on until 4pm. This was not case as we had no heating or hot water until the morning we leaving. However our room had been supplied with 2 electrical oil heaters. This property had been let out with the knowledge of the owner knowing their was no heating or hot water. Despite all these complications, we were given a refund. But as you can imagine our stay wasn't what we expected. We will not be staying again.

It was superbly clean. Staff were very friendly & professional.
