I loved having my own chalet which was clean, very comfortable and had everything I needed. The food at the pub and the service from the friendly staff was impeccable. Also very dog friendly and was made very welcome

The bedroom was lovely and the bed was really comfortable.

The sofa bed was damaged and very uncomfortable to sit on. Could do with a good dusting around the place as well.

Clean, good food, stand alone rooms give you everything you need. Staff were very friendly.

The first night the music was incredibly loud gone midnight... the pub had been closed quite a while but whoever was in charge/cleaning up was drunk and blasting music which when you have to get up at 05:00 the next day is v irritating. Would post the video if there was an option as this wasn't just a little bit loud, it was hear from a mile away loud. Wouldn't dissuade me from staying again as fine the next day, rooms were clean etc but was very frustrating when you have to get up in under 5 hours time.

The location is rural and set in beautiful countryside. 3 miles from Barrowford so walkable or Uber/taxi. Welcoming bar and staff, well stocked bar.

Accommodation is individual lodges at the rear of the property with fridge, microwave, sink. Although clean and bijou, the shower didn't work and the on/off button was balanced on top of the shower unit itself. Didn't access the shower til later that night to discover it was not working. Left early next morning before manager available. Tried to email to resolve but zero response. Wasn't surprised as when I messaged to book a table for evening meal, zero response. Breakfast not provided. Food is basic pub fare. Nothing special and one of our pies was quite cold. Waiting staff not interested once we'd got our mains, so didn't bother with dessert. 2 Poor comms and for almost £90 pppn, we'd expected much better. I doubt there'll be any recompense as the property don't respond to emails through Booking.com!

Had a great one night stay the room or should I say small house was very comfortable and clean, the staff in the pub were very friendly and helpful, and the food was great. And the shower was fantastic
