Host great, food was lovely , clean accomodation , loved watching the wild guinea pigs .

Clear glass in bathroom window with just a blind. It wouldn't cost much to put frosted window vinyl on glass . The grass and weeds leading to chalet could do with a strim nettles got me a few times. Could do with non slip shower mat as slipped a couple of times .

Accommodation was beautiful. Food was amazing and staff was very welcoming. Would highly recommend. Would definitely return .

Beautiful setting. Really quiet and no TV in the cabin, which is unusual today, but a real bonus! Very friendly owner who was welcoming and polite. Also very frank about the challenges involved in running such a business in the current climate! Having recently been in business ourselves, we understood that very well.

Overall, the place looked a bit 'run down' and tired. It is quite large and in our opinion would need a team of people to keep it going. We only saw the owner who seemed to be doing everything, including the cooking. For May, it was quite cold and the radiator and towel rail only came on for about 15 minutes on our first day. Stone cold after that. There was an additional, electric heater which was a relief! On the second day (when we were leaving) there was no hot water so a cold shower that morning. We did feed this back and the owner apologised. We spent time in the bar both evenings and it was very quiet, with only one non - resident coming in. We expected it to be a little livelier given it's location, though that may have been the time of year.

Cosy, clean room. Ideal location. Lovely host and breakfast. Welcoming pub. Would definitely stay there again.

Very friendly and helpful owners, the Rivers Arms has lovely countryside around it, our cabin was very clean and comfortable and we both slept well, we also enjoyed relaxing in the bar at night and met the very friendly locals after spending the daytime with our family.

The property was perfect lovely view, clean. Had just what we needed.

What wasn’t there to like about the property, everything was amazing!!

A charming place to stay. The Cabins were pretty and comfortable and the main house was beautifully decorated and very comfortable and homey.

Such a gorgeous and what felt like a hidden gem! The lodges are spacious for a short stay but would be great for a long stay too. We were fortunate to have good weather for our trip which made it extra special seeing the views with the sun out, was also so lovely hearing the sounds of nature and farms in the area. We stayed at this venue as we were going to The Tank Museum and it was only a 25 min drive away, wifi and signal in the lodges was also great so we could easily use the maps on our phones. The pub had such a great atmosphere with lovely decor and cooked breakfast was delish!! There was also a lovely surprise of seeing dozens of friendly guinea pigs running around too 😁

Unfortunately in the lodge we stayed in we only had 1 shower at a normal temperature, other times we attempted it was very hot. I did report this to the host as we were leaving but I’m sure if I mentioned it during the stay he would’ve helped us out!! The only other slight issue was our sugar sachets in the tea/coffee station seemed to have been there for a while and had gotten quite hard and some had even gotten sticky.

Lovely pub in beautiful village. Close proximity to numerous attractions and towns. Superb host, cabins are clean and comfortable. Great breakfast. Quiet location.
