Osteria Ritrovo dei Passeggeri

Whether it was the Hotel or Booking.com when we arrived they had messaged us to tell us that reception would only be open between 4pm & 6pm but weren’t told that when we booked. Also the restaurant was closed we weren’t told that. So we had to go into town all night as we were the only people in the hotel, no staff nothing opened & the smallest room in the world. They gave us a key for the front door and to our room. However it was clean and the guy that greeted us was very nice and informative. The view in the morning from our hotel window was breathtaking. But if we had known that we were the only people in the hotel with no staff & all closed we would not have booked.

We loved the location in the high hills with Lago do Maggiore in the distance. The view from our bedroom was wonderful to wake up to in the morning. So peaceful and quiet. Our host and his family were delightful, very kind and friendly and we were given advice on the best places to visit from which I have included a photo. The food was excellent as was the price. We would stay here again

Next time we would upgrade to a larger room but that is not a complaint. Our room was very comfortable with a good shower.
