The Shoulder of Mutton

We had a fantastic short stay here. Me and my partner were greeted with a very warm welcome by the manager, Lynn. She was very friendly, very professional and instantly made us feel comfortable. Lynn was a lovely hostess, chatty, very helpful and had a great sense of humour. It was a pleasure to meet her. Our room was wonderfully cosy, warm, very clean and tidy and everything provided for our stay. (Drink making facilities, towels, shower gels, hairdryer, etc.) The bed was also very comfortable. There was a lovely small balcony in our room with a table and chair outside. It was perfect to sit out on with a hot drink to look at the picturesque views of the hillside and the village church. Very peaceful. I enjoyed listening to the church bells. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. We had a huge full English, with ample breakfast options to choose from. We were super full when we left. We will definitely be coming back here again. We had a great stay in a lovely area and felt very welcome.

Unfortunately, we had not been warned about the disco in the bar, which sounded as if it was in our room! It was very disturbing and went on until 11pm, making it impossible to sleep.

Lovely people, honest pub grub.

Cheap fixtures and fittings, very tight room.
