Hysett House

This was the perfect place to stay for one night in the area. Mainly the hosts were super friendly and helpful! Breakfast had lots of options to choose from which were really tasty and had a lovely set up. Bedroom/bed was really comfortable and private bathroom had everything you needed. Space to park too which was useful. Very close to nice walks and towns. Thank you for having us :)

Only thing I can think of is you have to walk across the hallway to access private bathroom - would be better en-suite but didn't cause us a problem!

Very clean and luxurious - Nice lady owns property - Lovely bathroom - I mean the little touches in the room are just fantastic robes and slippers and all sorts of- Very very clean and lovely breakfast lots of options and at an additional charge can order a packed lunch - We loved it and would recommend

I knocked one point off because… We arrived quite late 8.30pm after a long day on South Downs Way we had walked nearly 20miles and there was no where to eat and no suggestions from owner about what we could do apparently everything local shuts at 6pm so we went to bed with just the complimentary biscuits - It was just a bit tricky because on the South Downs Way in the direction we were walking there hadn’t been anywhere to stop for food or water for 5hrs so it was quite hard to arrive and not have anywhere locally to be able to buy food or to even have suggestions of taxis that could take us somewhere or an offer of toast but then again we found host really accommodating in all other respects and it is not their responsibility to provide food at night that was understood I think yeah we just were in a bit of a tough position because of the local area

The beautiful personal thoughtful touches. The sweet peas - the ‘Ops I’ve forgotten it box’- the homemade preserves for breakfast. The owners very flexible and welcoming.
