Food was pretty good but room wasn’t. The staff do the best they can. Parking was a fair ways away. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Arrived at The Ship, had to fight our way in through the crowded pub. Free public parking advertised, but there is none had to pay for parking about 5 minutes walk away. It was very noisy, especially in the early morning, dustmen, bottle collecting and deliveries. Returned to pub first evening after a walk with a sign in the doorway saying “full, come back later” so went elsewhere to eat.

"very good except for the early morning noise on one morning"

8.0

confortable room and bed. welcoming and helpful staff. good breakfast. very convenient for harbour, bars and restaurants. easy free overnight public parking within a couple of minutes walk.

rubbish and bottle collection around 6am is prolonged since the parking for the truck is at the pub for the centre of the village.

Good location in the centre of the village, although very noisy in the mornings. Room was clean, but a little cramped as you might expect in an old pub. Staff were friendly & helpful Food in the bar was a decent quality.

Breakfast (8.00- 9.00AM) & check out time (10.00AM) too early to enjoy a relaxing break. Unpleasant smell constantly coming from the bathroom. Shower didn't have enough constant pressure to maintain a usable temperature, switched between freezing cold & scalding hot.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was very good. Top tip: sit on the green by the river with takeaway fish and chips and a drink. Lovely. The rooms are a little basic but fine. Location is quiet with lots of great walks around the area. Free parking next to the pub.

"Very friendly overnight stay and good value for money with excellent food into the bargain."

9.0

It is a super lively pub with a great atmosphere and the staff are really friendly and efficient. The dinner we had was excellent and I would highly recommend eating at the pub.

The room itself was small but fine for the money but the bathroom could do with a bit of updating. The loo roll holder had been knocked off the wall and there was no towell rail or hook to leave our towells on.

"Friendly staff and good location just very disappointed with standard of the room for the price paid"

4.0

Location, friendly staff breakfast ok

Two single beds pushed together to make double kept separating and therefore bottom sheets not fitting properly. Room was unclean previous coffee spills over furniture, dust everywhere, toilet not fixed properly moved when sat on. Window blind broken.
