"Exceptional"

The location was amazing...right in the middle of the terraces. The food was excellent...the best chicken adobo I've had in the Phillipines. Tour guide was knowledgeable and patient with my poor climbing skills...a trip I'll always hold dear.

Good location, very nice place, clean, good view

Was expecting a bit more warmth and friendliness given previous comments and for a homestay, plus the fact that the guide that she offered (granddaughter) didn't speak any English 😅 not exactly what you expect, but overall good value and clean place

What a wonderful find! A highlight of my trip to The Phillipines. Loved staying with Christina and her family, deep in the Banaue Rice Terraces at Batad. Great company with the other guests from around the world. Lovely home cooked meals. Christina's 4 year old grand daughter was an absolute delight, as were the village children wanting to practice their English. Beautiful hikes to waterfalls and rivers. The family even dressed me in their traditional clothing on my final night. This place is an absolute gem for intrepid travellers. Highly recommended.

Not so much what I didn't like as it was wonderful for me as a solo traveller. It exceeded my expectations. Just be sure to understand this lovely home stay is a forty-minute walk down steep steps through the village of Batad and along the rice terraces...then you have to walk up again when you leave. You will need a certain level of fitness, practical shoes and a backpack. I came to The Phillipines on a business trip so had a suitcase and laptop bag...bad idea! Paid a local to help me up and down...he was amazing! However, you are rewarded when you arrive in this special place. Also, this is a home stay with a very hospitable family. Facilities are clean and comfortable but basic. If you come with this expectation, you'll have a wonderful stay.

"It wasn’t"

It’s right in the middle of the rice terraces. But getting down to the Inn it’s very difficult.

We like the location of the property. It was right by the rice terraces. It requires some hiking down and up but we were aware of it. The place is so peaceful.

We were aware of the shared bathroom, but of course it will be better if each room had its own bathroom.
