"Pubs are about people and the staff here were simply the best."

Breakfast was served in the main pub room. Standard English etc but I was just having a snack. I had a lovely pie and mash for dinner with a pint of local ale. Staff were very attentive and pleasant. I had a couple of problems unrelated to the Byron, and the staff and owner could not have been more helpful and friendly. Brilliant.

Friendly staff, good food.

Carpet was a bit grubby, and there were patches of mould in the bathroom. The mattress was dipped in the middle so needs replacing
