The Oceanfront Inn on Stephens Bay

Our stay I'm port Rupert was great. The place is very quiet facing the ocean with a nice veranda and the breakfast was great

If we could score more then we would, because the Inn totally exceeded what we were expecting. We booked it based on a travellers blog .. in fact it was the only reason to take us to the north of Vancouver island, and I’m so glad we did. The location was amazing & the breakfast was outstanding. We had our first introduction to crab, which was a beautiful appetiser from our wonderful hosts Steven & Michelle. The crab was caught probably less than 100m from where we were staying.. it could not have been fresher. We kayaked and saw sea otters. If we ever come back to Vancouver island it would definitely be a place we would visit again. A wonderful place to just relax and enjoy nature.

Stephen’s Inn is for sure one of the most special places you could visit on Vancouver island: the view right out on to the water, having some sea lions say hello every now and then, watching the full moon rise over the hills… it’s such a magical view, that you can get both out of the super comfy bed and out of the bathing tub, that’s big enough for two. Stephen is a chef, creating breakfast that’s better than any food we tried on the island- with lots of nice seafood fresh out of the ocean. One day we took the kayaks that are free to use, travelled down the coast and watched the orcas blow their water fountains from a far. The detail and care Michelle and Stephen put in hosting their guests made us feel warmly welcomed, making it really hard to finally pack our bags and leave. We will for sure come back!

Exceptional hospitality at the Inn. Stephen and Michelle are delightful and run the guest house to the highest standards. They could not have done more to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was exceptional as others have written and the Inn has every comfort. We took out a double kayak for a paddle down the bay which was so peaceful and saw seals and nesting eagles.

We wish we had stayed longer.

Our room and patio had a million dollar view. It reminded me of a Norwegian fjord. The breakfast was the best we ever had at a BnB or hotel.

Super clean. Friendly hostess. Big room with comfortable mattress. Delicious breakfasts. Beautiful view. Kayaks to use Hosts knowledge of area activities
