Ardennan House Hotel

The room is spacious and very quiet, beds are comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and massive! I was so full after breakfast. Staff was polite but friendly and very helpful. We didn't want to go out for an evening meal on the first day, so had a meal in there restaurant there and the food was good.

We didn't realise that the hotel is located a bit remotely and there is no 'town centre' nearby hence no restaurants to visit unless we walk for 45 minutes or so to Inverurie. It's quiet because of the location, but a bit inconvenient for us. I guess that majority of guests are on business, so it may not matter for them, though.

La chambre et la salle de bains étaient très grande, parking gratuit, armoire et bureau à disposition. Il y aurait tout pour bien faire, il faudrait juste y mettre du coeur et de la générosité et ce serait parfait !!

Le lit n'était pas très confortable, le déjeuner était minimaliste (pas de sirop d'érable pour le porridge, miel sur demande, croissant et pancake industriels, café filtre de qualité moyenne). L'hôtel est phoniquement très mal isolé, on entend tout ce qui se passe dedans. Notre chambre était séparé de la voisine par une porte intérieure très mal fermée et on entendait tous les bruits de la chambre d'à côté. Il y a donc des travaux urgents et importants à entreprendre. Le service est minimaliste: on a laissé une serviette sale par terre, elle a juste être ramassée, mais pas changée. Il manque du coeur et de la générosité. C'est dommage, car il y aurait tout pour bien faire et être un super hôtel.

We didn’t have any hot water for the first night satay and when we approached staff the next morning we were never given an update on it and had to keep going to reception to see what was happening - we had a wedding that day so needed to shower and they said it wasn’t being fixed until 3pm and we were leaving at 1:30pm so we had to have cold showers. We didn’t get two towels in the room so had to go on a hunt for another luckily the spares room was left open and we helped ourselves to our own. We paid £100 a night not what I would say is cheap and expected just a little bit more communication or a compensation for the lack of hot water maybe even a change of room. A little lack of detail in the towels and the beds were super creaky and could feel the springs through the mattress. On top of this there was a green light (I presume the smoke alarm) on all night which didn’t help with the bed situation - but I will accept that this is a health and safety feature that can’t be helped but it was annoying - if staying here being an eye mask.

We were in a chalet very disappointed not anything like the pictures on there website.

Calme, bien placé, confortable.

Quiet. Comfortable. Daily servicing of rooms. Plenty parking. Very good breakfast. Good value for money. Convenient for everywhere we wanted to visit.

Low cold water pressure.

Quiet location, food was good, staff were friendly and allowed us to book in an hour earlier. The car park was spacious. Our room was fine and not too expensive!
