Ardennan House Hotel

Location was perfect, countryside setting adjacent to Inverurie. The bedroom was quiet with a comfortable bed, excellent shower and good storage. The food was very good. Dining room was spacious and breakfast room had all we needed with good menu choices. Even with a large party for dinner food came out at the same time. One niggle was promptly sorted. Very friendly, helpful staff.

4pm check in was a bit inconvenient and I didn’t want to pay more for self check in. We had a very noisy cistern but that was fixed promptly. One of the bedroom chairs badly needed recovering. The view from our room was heating units but they have to be somewhere! (We could see trees too.) It lacked a residents lounge.

Not a busy place. Only us and another couple there. Receptionist welcoming on arrival We had accessible room as i have disabilities and it was big enough. Room a bit dated and bed definitely needs replacing, its very high and i had difficulty getting in and out but it was comfy although matress could be replaced. Big very clean shower room with good shower. Breakfast was ok, tea was in a thermos jug so it was a bit strong and not very hot. Better if fresh pot brought to the table. Full breakfast good choice but I asked for it minus mushroom. Tomato and egg, I don't eat them. I got 1 sausage, 1 rasher bacon and beans no offer of perhaps 2 of each to make up size of portion For £99 not value breakfast. Handy hotel for where we needed to be, I would return but they need to take note of some comments especially the breakfast.

We had accessible room, lovely but a bit dated. Mattress could do with replacing , but it was a very comfy stay. Beautiful shower room. Lots of space. Room was lovely and warm which is important , we would return here in future.

Only couple small points at breakfast.... tea was left in thermos jug so it was a bit strong and not as hot as could be, prefer to make fresh as needed or get fresh pot at table. Also hot breakfast very small...1 sausage, 1 rasher bacon, beans and small potato scone. I did ask for these items as don't eat eggs. Mushrooms or tomato and didn't get any alternative, eg extra sausage etc. Felt for price (£99) this should be done.

Staff were polite and helpful. Lovely evening meal. Comfy bed.

The hotel was unable to provide the advertised cooked breakfast. Although we were offered a continental breakfast this was not what we booked or paid for. I was told this was due to an unexpected staffing issue. I was not offered a refund or discount on our evening meal at the time. I had to ask for the refund an eventually got one after chasing this through messages.

Sunday lunch was amazing. Great food, lovely place, staff fabulous.
