The Ship Inn

Easy walking distance from train station. Nice, comfortable, basic room. Nice breakfast.

Das Frühstück war toll. Das ganze Hotel ist mit sehr viel Liebe eingerichtet. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und geräumig.

Die Lage direkt am Industriehafen ist nicht so gut, aber das fängt das Hotel mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail auf.

Shared bathroom

Perfectly located for my business in the town and with free parking. Friendly welcome and seamless check in from smiling staff who actually showed self to room. Spotless, tastefully decorated, spacious room with opening window and good wifi. Excellent bed, with bedside light and adjacent sockets for charging, fluffy towels and powerful shower available in adjacent (shared) bathroom. Dinner with limited, but more than adequate, menu and reasonable drinks choice available. Excellent breakfast.

A small desk / chair in the room for work would be perfect, but in reality there's more than enough space in lounge/dining areas for that when needed.

The staff were OUTSTANDING, very friendly and genuine. Location & parking were excellent. Room was good, spacious (brand new TV), good facilities (there is a communal kitchen / dining area) and shared bathroom was big, with shower and bath. Breakfast was great, tasty and lots of options. In short, it's EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY and I will definitely return.

A couple of very minor observations / feedback -The optional communal kitchen was missing any knifes and forks despite having plates etc. The oven / grill and trays were disappointingly very dirty, so much so, I decided not to reheat previous evenings take away. The kitchen itself was clean and the fridges were spotless (which I used). This said, I stayed there as a Bed & Breakfast, so the kitchen was a nice BONUS that I wasn't, and wouldn't normally expect, SO THIS WOULD NOT STOP ME STAYING THERE AGAIN, it was only an observation AS the venue provides an optional evening meal, the menu appeared tasty and good value, and I would have definitely have eaten there if not for pre-arranged commitments as the evening meal service is quite early.

Breakfast was good! Parking on the street was easy.

3 out of 5 lightbulbs were broken. Toilet was private but not attached to the room.

Bedden, douche en kamergrootte waren prima. Ook gratis parkeren voor de deur.

De locatie was wat saai naast een industrieterrein. Verder alles ok.

We stayed in room 5, which stated on booking.com it was a share bathroom; however, one of the bathrooms in the hallway was specifically marked for room 5. We never had to share or wait to use the facilities. We interacted with Savannah who was managing and running the inn, Savannah was so great and even had some local recommendations that we explored that were very nice! Breakfast was amazing! Full spread with so many tasty foods! Breakfast was included with our stay price! We ate one time for dinner, the lemon chicken and it was also delicious! If you’re in the area, I highly recommend staying here

Limited but good food. Breakfast excellent. Bed etc. Good. Nice staff.
