The Ship Inn

Sehr schöne und ruhige Zimmer. Gut ausgestattet und geräumig. Das Bad war außerhalb aber groß und für uns alleine zur Nutzung. Das Essen abends in der Unterkunft war lecker. Der Frühstücksraum nach hinten raus war sehr schön und das Frühstück war lecker. Die Kommunikation war top.

Der Blick auf den Industriehafen ist nicht so toll aber nicht tragisch.

No bath soaps for the shower. TV so small it would fit in my carry on bag. Breakfast was not good at all.

The location of the hotel is an adorable town with a nice main street to walk. It is a port town with the cruise ships docking here and oil rigs in for repair. The rigs were pretty cool to look at in the evening with all of their lights on the water. Easy access to the coast for walking with fabulous views for sunset. We ate dinner in Inverness before arriving, but they do offer a dinner for guests at an additional cost. If dinner is as good as breakfast was it would be worth it. We had a lovely breakfast in the morning that is buffet style, but very fresh and tasty. It included sausage, eggs, pancakes, and smoked salmon plus a variety of continental options. The dining area is absolutely adorable as well as the lounge at the front of the B&B. The woman who checked us in was very welcoming and gave us a small tour. There are small stairs leading up to the bedrooms. We stayed in the room with a full size bed and twin size bed (Room 5), the bathroom is separate and down the hall from the bedroom.

I wish the breakfast had gone a bit later than 9 am, but I like to sleep in so I am happier with later breakfasts. Some darker curtains on the bay window or pull down blinds as well would be nice. I prefer a dark room and there was a lot of ambient light in the room. Beds were pretty firm, but not unbearable. A mattress pad would help significantly.

We hadden last minute geboekt en Sannah contacteerde ons nog met de vraag of we 's avonds ook wenste te eten. Hele lekkere fish and chips gegeten. De kamer was zeer comfortabel en het ontbijt met verse producten. Zowel met Schotse toets (Black pudding, sausages en bonen in tomatensaus) als toast en scones.
