The whole stay was fantastic from checking in the guy on the desk was also the guy doing breakfast the next morning wow he's rhe happiest chappy ever, nothing was too much trouble. The room was good we stayed in 108 though the view wasn't too but we weren't in the room long anyway. The breakfast was huge 2 of everything. The Anchorage is our go to place in Portstewart as always we will be back before the end of the year. The new look too is very classy love it. Keep up the good work guys and we will see yous soon. X

Location and staff

The location is great. We’ve stayed many times. Any time we have eaten the food ok. The bar is good and the musician was great. Good atmosphere. Comfy bed. Staff pleasant.

Disappointed in the cleanliness. Rooms really tired. Stains on carpets. Needs lots of attention. Mouldy shower and grubby decor. Looked like blood on the corner of our bathroom floor. Not great to be fair. We have stayed lots of times but definitely needs spruced up.

Lasagne came out as if it had been under a hot light for a while, a bit dry. Coincidentaly, maybe, both nights i dined here the staff asked me if id like my starter and main courses together, Dunno why....

Great location. All of the staff are friendly & very helpful including Damian & his sister Amber at reception. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. Fabulous breakfast and a nice welcome fire! Car park directly across the road and a lovely walk around the shore was just around the corner.

Maybe that it is all stairs and it would be of no use for less mobile patients
