Posada Ashanty

Posada Ashanty was an amazing stay. Everything was wonderful. The owners were incredibly helpful and invested in making sure we had the best time in Providencia. They lent us some goggles and flippers to use, organised our scooter and even let us have a shower after we checked out to wash off the salt. They really looked after us and we cannot recommend the place enough. The bed was super comfy and massive! It also had really nice sheets, so nice to sleep in. The air conditioning and fan worked really well and the kitchen was really well stocked.

We spent a week in Providencia with family. The island is a peaceful little paradise especially for snorkeling, diving and quiet beaches. The Posada Ashanty is a very nice place - quiet, clean and comfortable. The hosts Sumaya and Kildren are super friendly and helpful. It seems that they know nearly everyone on the small island and helped to organize transport, guided tours, restaurant reservations etc. Perfect stay! Thanks again Sumaya and Kildren.

Use repellent on the beaches! Sand fly bites are quite itchy.

The place was amazing for the value. We enjoyed pretty much every sq mt/in of it. The staff was super nice and helpful, we ended renting scooters from them and we had some of the best holidays possible.

the vibe. the view. the breeze. the country house sensation. you hear roaster sings the dawn , dogs playing with people like friends , and cattle moos in the evening and night. the full kitchen is fantastic. the owner is super easy going , friendly, helpful. arranging transportation and give suggestions. he also brought barreled water for me.

if your next door customer is not quite but party going type of young people they may make noise till midnight. for me it’s great talking to them. it’s a little far to the city and southern end and west side. but you can always signal your needs of transportation. people on the island is super friendly and help you beyond your expectations. I.e. some guy drove me to my destination that’s several kilometers further down their own destination.

Staff couple were nice and very helpful. Kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom were clean and efficient.

Far from restaurant or town and no public transportation. Not their fault. Kitchen very hot with no AC.

Beautiful view. In a quite place. Sea view. The owners are really friendly and gave me all the info during my stay. This is a perfect place if you want relax and enjoy beautiful views.

Everthing was good.

excellently kept by Keily and his family. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Keily was super mellow and happy to help with everything. The unit itself lended to self catering very nicely. All the things you need to make a decent meal. The porch had a table and chairs with a strong fan to enjoy your meal without the pestering mosquitos. Air conditioning i the room worked super well and cable TV had lots of options including some super nice music channels.

there is no wi-fi… however there are community wifi spots along the coast. this might change soon though as when we visited the island was still rebuilding from a devastating hurricane.
