Motel 6 San Antonio, TX I-35 North Corridor

Location is near a lot of restaurants

I booked a king room with a fridge and microwave. I got a smaller queen room with no fridge and a TV with no remote while being told it was a "free upgrade." The first day and night I had no key. The second day and night they had removed the locking mechanism from the door so I had no working door. I had to use a knife to leave the room to checkout. Still waiting to hear from corporate for a refund.

The price. Pet friendly with no pet deposit. Working refrigerator. Good working ac. Nice, king size bed was comfortable (until)* I've stayed in a lot worse.

I didn't read upfront (&I'm usually good at reading everything in detail) that there's a $50 deposit, which I'm still waiting to get refunded. And for someone like me who has to pinch pennies, I was not able to do what was planned. Also, the laundry was unavailable, dryer was broken. And I believe the description said the room had a microwave... There's one microwave in the lobby. Which at least that. The walls and doors were dirty, dirty. The sheets had little yellow stains at the top, not sure about anywhere else because I take my own bedspread that I lay on top right when I get there. And for that reason I didn't find something was in the sheets at the very bottom, like socks were left, until the second night. Hand towel had a black stain. There were long curly hairs on shower floor. Look, I get it's a motel, but if anything, be clean.

I like the location

I didn’t like that my room wasn’t ready when I arrived I had to wait 1 hour even though I arrived an hour later then 3 pm for check in I had to wait until 5:30 to finally get a room and it wasn’t the room I booked! She said sorry that’s all we have were super busy but that’s why I made reservations for the room that I wanted! when I called to ask for some the clean towels and toilet paper the following day she said I had to go to the front desk and get the toilet paper, but the towels will be given to me on the third day so disappointed in this place I don’t think I will be booking with them anymore!

Staff is TERRIBLE! Mina the manager is rude and a liar. Housekeeping staff is rude and confrontational! I paid to extend my stay in the same room for another week. Mina the manager MADE ME MOVE ROOMS FOR ANOTHER GUEST despite me not checked out, having extended my stay, and requesting the same room per Motel 6 policy. The room I was in was decent, not very clean but not dirty dirty, few roaches. I am with an infant and a 12 year old and the room she put me in had clear and present safety hazards! Electrical wires exposed from wall, toilet not flushing properly, oily substance on floors making them slip hazards, no smoke detector…..and when I complained of these things she threatened to kick me out and call the cops! Housekeeping staff got in my face, threatened me, blocked my entry into a room, just a bad experience all together! I will NEVER BE BACK AND I HOPE YOU DO NO BOOK DO NOT BOOK DO NOT BOOK!!!

Our room is not clean. The TV stand desk was disgustingly spilled drink drinks crumbs. There was spilled drinks all over the wall. The toilet was gross and the restroom shower was gross with human hair all on it.
