Pilgrim's Kitchen & Inn

Location is quiet with s lovely sunset view from the restaurant deck overlooking the slow moving Mekong River and its fishermen. Upper floor corner room was comfortable with a good bed and two window views so good light during the day.

Shower drain didn’t drain properly and almost flowed past the toilet area into the room. Staff addressed our concern so the next morning, it worked a bit better but still was slow to drain so seems like it needs to be cleaned out better and maintained.

Amazing place for Lao Pilgrims, border runners, culture vultures and ramblers. It's homey, comfortable and so laid back. Superb food - Indian, Mexican, Western and local. Eat on the wooden terrace right next to the Mekong or in air-conditioned comfort. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful The best coffee I have had in a long time. Oh, so comfortable and relaxing by the river.

If you accept Savannakhet's laid back style then nothing important If you looking for a 5 star luxury resort then this is not it and you will see minor faults.

Amazing place on the bank of Mekong river, beautifull terace for relaxing or having delicious meal, very kind people and kind and very well english speaking owner. Don't forget to taste and buy their tasty coffee. In my opinion the best place where to stay in Savannakhet.

Everything was awesome! I cannot believe this place exists in sleepy Savannakhet! Great location right above the river, easy walk from the bus station, nice restaurant/cafe on site, clean rooms with all the amenities you may need, strong Wi-Fi. And my personal most favourite thing: you can pay by card! Right next to the hotel there is a small park, where there was a live concert and stall selling food and beer, I am not sure if this happens all the time or I was lucky, but it was a very nice addition and I enjoyed spending time there.

The scooters they rent seem a bit expensive compared to the rest of Laos, but then again, Savan is not so touristy I guess.

Location

The staff were all friendly and helpful. There were many options for good coffee. The food was great, with a wide variety of options. We really enjoyed the outdoor seating area for eating and drinking, we had breakfast, lunch and dinner here. In the evening there is a nice view over the river for sunset. Good aircon in the room and the beds are large and comfortable.

The bathroom was a little tired, but it was clean. Overall the value for money is good.
