Check in is strictly no later than 22.00 Guests please note they do not receive a key for the outside doors. Please note we require guests to return by closing time ,23.00 Monday to Sunday. Entry to the property is not available beyond these times. We close at 11pm and request all guests to return by this tme - there is no access to the pub or rooms after 11pmPlease inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian. A deposit may be required at the property.

Excellent pub with superb host. Food, as always, really good. Staff are efficient, very friendly, and customer service is paramount, something you can't always say in this day and age. Have visited the pub several times and always look forward to returning. However, this was our first time staying in the accommodation, no qualms about returning . Great part of the country!

"A nice place to stay within reach of the Yorkshire Sculpture Park."

Breakfast was good, we could have chosen more or less anything we wanted within reason and settled for poached eggs on toast. Dinner was excellent, we enjoyed a drink before dining, the choice of food was good, and the staff were friendly, chatty and helpful. The room was fine, clean and had everything necessary including tea/coffee making facilities with adequate milk provided.

This is probably a subjective opinion but we both agreed that the single beds could have been firmer. Otherwise, everything else was good.

"Another lovely stay"

The staff are amazing friendly and helpful the landlord goes the extra mile to make sure your welcome and happy The food they serve is delicious and plenty on your plate - and one of a few places I stay where they still offer a cheese board Please don’t be put off by the on road parking - I have stopped a few times and had no issues - it’s a very small village not and town with tons of traffic Breakfast is first class all local produce Thank you for another lovely stay
