The Chase Inn

Nice pub, very good breakfast

We have stayed at The chase inn before and thoroughly enjoyed it. And, were both very happy to be returning. The log burner in the bar was nice but the heating wasn't on so it was most definitely needed. We enjoyed a lovely freshly cooked dinner with lots of fresh vegetables. To be fair to the landlord said he had had a flood in the cellar the previous day which had created problems with the beer pumps and taken hours to sort out. However, it just didn't feel like our first visit, even allowing for the flood.

Despite having put an electric oil filled radiator on in our room, the heating was off for our stay, It was very cold in there. And, I'm afraid that we kept it on all evening and over night, which was necessary. A wet cold Saturday night in November. We left very early on the Sunday morning via the out of hours exit, the fire escape. The lighting was only working from halfway down. Luckily it wasn't icy, but still slippery as it was a very wet weekend.

Friendly staff. Lovely, tasty evening meals. Clean throughout. Very comfortable bed.

Had a lovely evening meal and chatted with the very friendly and welcoming locals. Welcomed our dog and staff were friendly.

The room however was a disappointment, small, cold, carpet and decor was very bad.. looked like damp in a few areas. Needs a renovation.

Convenient and as expected. Lovely welcome on arrival.

Very frendly staff I was taken to my room by a member of staff Sarah very pleasant and as the pub has a night time lockdown if the fire alarm goes off you exit by the fire escape which Sarah showed me where it was located The berger that I ordered with Sarah who was a very hood company with a plesent smile alwas a credit in pubs when you have lovely staff Good shower hot bathroom good size

Had a heater to keep my room at a lovely so heating was limited .tempature good Didnt like the coffee so my drink was tea hot chocolate eould be a chamge
