Nicolai's Mine Camp

We never interacted with any staff. Instructions were left for us. As I am not gregarious, this was just fine for me! The room was very nice and spacious. Ditto for the bathroom. Lots of light. Fast-moving river on the property, so watch your children!

The location is a bit isolated. This is not a touristy part of the state. This is not really a drawback except restaurants are limited. Copper Center is 25 minutes away by car.

Convinient location, and everything you need in the room. The cute resturant in town is close by, and is really reccomended!

Its a bit worn, but totaly ok.

Good stopping point on my trip

The room had a dusty gritty feel. The bathrooms are old and dated. The mosquitoes were intense. Don’t advertise as a B&B if there is no breakfast. The breakfast factors into the pricing considerations.

Historical and real Alaska

Loved the bar with its memorabilia especially the train set amazing Would have been a buzz if it was running outside as well

The outdoor kitchen and sink area needed better presentation and cleaning We felt that it would be used a lot more as the were few other options in this small town

Location was just what I needed. They had Dish Network TV. Room was clean and very quiet.

Office was empty and no room code was left to access the room. Had to look for someone to let me in. He was helpful after I found him. Bathroom was not really clean, but it could have been a lot worse.

Room had a heater, fridge, microwave and coffee machine. Bed was very comfortable. Hot water and water pressure in shower was great. Private bathmat was provided, which I appreciated.

Place was listed providing breakfast however when I arrived the note left for me said no breakfast would be provided since it was before Memorial Day weekend.
