The Compasses Inn

The Compasses Inn was a really friendly place to stay. The evening meal and breakfast were very good. Lovely big comfortable bed to sleep in. The Inn is very dog friendly with plenty of areas to walk.

There was nothing to dislike

Staff were fantastic.We ate in the restaurant two evening trying both the Nepalese and traditional pub menu and could not fault the food.Breakfast was good too.

Very basic but functional room.

Quiet location. Staff were friendly. Room was clean and beds were clean and comfy.

The hotel is extremely dated and in desperate need of a renovation, inside and outside. We had a family room which, despite being clean, felt neglected. Curtains were hanging off the rail, old and tatty furniture downstairs and an old and shabby bathroom with a dirty shower curtain. The attic bedroom gets very hot on a warm and sunny day and there’s only a very small window which can’t be fully opened. We did have a fan upstairs but that didn’t make much of a difference unfortunately. We won’t be in a hurry to return.

Friendly staff and nepalese food is fantastic.

Staff were welcoming, breakfast hit the spot, and the bed was really comfy. Would stay again!
